100 Calorie Breakfast Biscuits

People show their love in a variety of different ways. Mine just so happens to be making people food. I make food for Jake everyday, not because he expects it, but because that is the one thing I truly like doing everyday for him. My favorite, in particular, is to make him a nice breakfast, and a cup of coffee. Even if it something as simple as toast before he goes to work on the weekends, it’s just something I like to do for him.

I know everyone doesn’t celebrate Valentine’s day, but I find it a good excuse to make cute, heart-shaped food, and who doesn’t like to eat food that’s in cute shapes? Also, I’m not mad about the push to eat a little chocolate.

What about those who don’t want the sweets, or those who want to make a special breakfast in the morning? These aren’t your typical, fluffy biscuits in gravy biscuit, but they have a bread texture that goes nicely with eggs in the morning.

If you don’t have a heart shaped cookie cutter, or don’t want to make them in heart shaped, you can just make them any shape you want.

100 Calorie Breakfast Biscuits

  • Servings: 7
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Print

2 Tbs Almond Flour
1 Tbs Coconut Flour
3 Tbs Ground Flax Seed
2 Tbs ArrowRoot
3 Tbs Ghee
1 Egg White
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Salt

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mix well.
3. if turning into a heart, use a cookie cutter, and place dough inside, pressing into shape. Carefully pull up the cookie cutter. If not, make into round disk shape.
4. Bake for 7-8 minutes, until lightly brown, and slightly firm.
5.Enjoy!
