Dance like Nobody is Watching

Last week end I attended my first ever masquerade.  My night was like a real-life Cinderella story Movie, except a few less people, and I was not their to find my one true love. I still don’t understand how in the movies people seem to be “unrecognizable” when they are wearing their mask?? Like, Everyone knew who I was when I had my mask on. It’s not like your entire face is covered. Anyways, at the beginning of the night not too many people were there, and the DJ was trying to get the energy going with the music and the lights, but the dance floor remained empty. A few guys went out and tried to dance, but they chickened out and left. Then, two girl went out there and just started going nuts. They had no cares for what others thought, and just danced. The energy they brought to the dance floor made so many others go join. Some of my friends, and myself went out there, and had a great time. Dancing is always something that once I start, I don’t want to stop. I have so much fun, and end up not caring about how bad my dance moves actually are.

The point of this post is to tell you to go dance! Let loose! Once you get out there, even if its in your bedroom, your car (be careful), at a party, wherever, just dance you little heart out. Don’t let fear of what others think of your dance moves stop you, because half of the time they are not actually paying attention to you, they are having just as much fun dancing themselves.  When you can do something fun, (while also getting some exercise) its so good for your body and mind! At the end of the night, you are not going to regret going out and dancing on that dance floor. You are going to wish the night hadn’t ended! Fun things like this are self-care. You are taking time to take care of yourself. You are letting all that stress and frustration go, and just enjoying the time you have. NOW GO GET YOUR DANCE ON!
